Why Should You Blog?

Over the years blogging has been a widely popular strategy used by both seasoned pros and new entrepreneurs alike as a method of generating instant cash while building an online brand, quickly and easily.

With blogging there’s not such a steep learning curve, as most of the coding, HTML, and web development has been minimized.  This allows feature laden, enhanced websites to be created in a very short period of time, even by novices.  Therefore it’s no real surprise that every day, thousands of new blogs appear online, plugging in to the built in popularity of platforms like WordPress and Blogger.

In fact, according to Technorati, who track over 113 million blogs online within their free community, there are over 175,000 new blogs published each and every day.  From those blogs, over 1.6 million new posts are submitted online, which equates to about 18 new posts every second of the day.

Pretty impressive stats!

It’s obvious that blogging can be exceptionally lucrative, regardless of industry or niche.  With such a fast-track method of building entire websites with a few clicks of the mouse, it’s also one of the easiest methods of developing an online presence with very little effort or start up costs.

In fact, with a single domain name and a hosting account, you can have your very own dynamic website complete with all the bells and whistles in a few minutes, and you could be building, customizing and optimizing every square inch.

Wow, “175,000 new blogs published each and every day” is a scary number unless you really know how to promote a blog. Getting educated about blogging is really necessary and it sound like Mandy has a good source. Thanks for sharing.

You’re so right about blogging Mandy, it’s a perfect way to get yourself out into the market place, and it becomes like a second home – there are many reasons for blogging: fun, storytelling, life experiences, travel, business, tutorials – or any combination of the above – but as you say, it’s an excellent idea to choose a program or course to follow because the ‘blog and hope’ method doesn’t always reach your target market 😉

    Hi Mandy,
WOW! Those are incredible statistics! Amazing …. since the virtual space is unlimited – I guess, blogs and websites will continue. So there is quite a market for programs to teach people how to get set up with a blog. Your program I am sure covers everything. Having taken a training class with you, your program will help many, like your training helped me.. Thanks!

Blogging software such as WordPress is ideal for easily creating a full website for your business too, not just a blog. I always urge my clients to take full advantage of the blog as it is the best way to get your site known.

If you are new to blogging, or want to improve, It is certainly worth doing training on how to use a site to maximize its marketing potential. It will bring you results much quicker than trying to figure it all out for yourself.
