W Is For Wealth

Many people mistakenly feel that the only definition of ‘wealthy’ is having lots of possessions.  They believe that in order to be wealthy one must have lots of money and ‘things’.

To be truly wealthy you do not need money or possessions.  You can consider yourself a very wealthy person if you possess wisdom, peace of mind, friends and family, a lifestyle you are happy with, a spiritual awareness, a belief in oneself; any or all, and much much more, are attributes that enable you to consider yourself wealthy.

As Garth Brookes once said, ‘You are not wealthy until you have something that money cannot buy’.

Enjoy the journey!

  1. I am totally agree with Garth Brookes – ‘You are not wealthy until you have something that money cannot buy’. I think there are many people who are not happy though they have a lot money and things which everyone desires.

I think we should try to balance our life and we should enjoy and get engage the moment we have.

Thanks for this short and sweet reminder.

    1. Hi Yogesh, thanks for visiting. I agree with you, lots of people who have plenty of money are not happy. They seem to have lots of material things but not much quality of life.

      1. Hey Mandy,

        Thanks for reply.

Materialistic things make us happy for very short period, like if we get bicycle, then we want motor cycle then we want four wheeler, then we want aero-plane and the list goes on and on.

        Thanks 🙂

  2. Awe, yes wealthy goes beyond the dollars. Freedom is wealth, I hear people from oppressed countries say, we don’t appreciate our freedom, it is a gift that brings wealth to the self.

  3. Hi Mandy,

Indeed, many people confuse wealth with having tons of money and lots of things. But real wealth is in the heart and soul of us.

I do consider myself wealthy because I’m grateful. Grateful of all things in my life. The People, my surroundings, my faith and oh so much more. Living a life of contentment and peace is the most wealthiest of all.

  4. Hi Mandy,

True it is. Very less people actually understand the meaning of being wealthy. Money can never buy the true things in life, which are really worthy. As Donna said, being grateful can make us feel wealthy and complete. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
