Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

I would like to thank Julie Dunlop of Learn, Grow & Prosper for passing this award to me.

The award is passed from sister blogger to sister blogger and there are just 4 conditions you have to meet when you accept the award.

1.  You have to thank the person who gave it to you.

2.  You have to post 7 things about yourself.

3.  You have to nominate 7 others and let them know they have been nominated.

4.  You have to include the award logo in your blog post.

So I thought I’d do something a little bit different for my post.  If you want to find out my ‘7 things’ you will have to watch the video below!

So now you have watched the video please feel free to leave me a comment below!

And now I must nominate the women I would like to pass the award on to.  Slightly differently than the norm I would also like to tell you why I have nominated these women.

Recently I joined a networking group and every Tuesday evening since the beginning of August I have had the privilege of ‘hanging out’ with these ladies on Google hangout.  They have been an absolute pleasure to be with.  We’ve supported each other, had great business planning chats and generally had loads of fun online.  So these first nominations are for my hangout girlfriends:

Laura Morris

Beth Hewitt

Janelle Wright

Kerris Torkington

Miriam Buhr

And so I come to the other 2 women I would like to nominate.  This has been a hard decision to pick just 2 out of my wide circle of really great women bloggers.  I know a lot of them have been passed the award already which made it hard to pick someone who may not have had it.

However, the first is Peggy Baron.  The reason I have nominated Peggy is I have a lot of respect for Peggy not only as a blogger but as an Internet Marketer and I believe anyone visiting her blog will benefit from what they find there.

My last nomination goes to my good friend Dawn Kay.  I do know Dawn has been nominated by someone else but I have known Dawn for a while now and had such great support from her that she simply has to be on my list.

I do hope you get the time to visit these bloggers and leave them a comment.  I know you will be pleased you did!

Enjoy the journey.

  1. That video was so fun Mandy, great job.

I didn’t realize you cared for your Mom full-time. I’m not there yet but as most everyone knows now, she’s my new next door neighbor. I’m so happy about that.

So how did you get roped into driving the queen in a carriage since you’ve never drive a carriage. Boy, I would be nervous about that one.

Your Harry Potter cake looked pretty darn good and although I never am happy about people getting older, I’m glad to hear you turned 50. See, you’re still younger then me. Yikes!

Great group of women you nominated and I hope they’ll follow through and share more about themselves with us in an upcoming post.

    Thanks Mandy.

    1. Now that has to be the fastest blog post reply I’ve ever had, Adrienne! Great to see you here and glad you enjoyed the video. I’ve been working with the alpacas for over a year now and the guy has horses and carriages too, so I’ve done a few weddings with him as groom, and during last winter we trained the two cobs to work as a pair on the carriage (they’ve worked singly before now). I got to hold the reins twice in that time, and once more a few weeks ago when we were out doing a wedding. He has been asked to take Queen Victoria to Holkham Hall for two Victorian weekends but he can only do one of them himself, so he asked me if I would like to learn how to drive the carriage properly and do one of the weekends on my own! I am so excited about it! I am just the luckiest person alive!

      Enjoy the journey.

  2. WOW what a fantastic video, loved it. Something special to keep too and wonderful to share. Felt very priviledged to watch it and enter your world for a while. Thank You.

  3. Hi Mandy!!

What a fantastic life you have!! I loved your video, and totally enjoyed your attention to detail and the wonderful music in the background. That’s great that you care for your mother. We cared for Larry’s father when he was suffering with Alzheimer’s and lived in his mom’s house for about a year and a half to help her from not keeling over from the stress.
I love this Sister Blogger idea, and am honored that you nominated me and our fellow hangout sisters!! I will definitely pay it forward, and include her logo!
I hope you are on the mend already so we can have you back for one last hangout next week. We need to have a party with ice cream and cake!
    Lots of love

And what a fab video 🙂
I so LOVED learning more about you!

You must educate me on Harry Potter…I still haven’t read the books (oh what shame to admit it publicly!)

Thanks for paying it forward with the award nomination, it has been an absolute pleasure hanging out with you on a Tuesday night with the Networking Superstars.

  6. Hi Mandy,

Wow! Just love your video, a super job putting that together.

You seem to be a great out doors person Mandy. Fascinating that, swimming with the dolphins. My sister’s done it before on the West Coast of Australia, they came up to the shore.

I must say, I really enjoyed the Harry Potter books and the movies. Last trip to London we done one of the ‘Harry Potter walks’. Your birthday cake looks yummy! and congratulations on your 50th 😉

The antiques you have there in your shop are just wonderful. I love that style of furniture. My grandmother had some beautiful furniture – don’t know what ever happened to it though.

Thanks for sharing Mandy, I really enjoyed watching
