Over the last few months I have found myself wondering where exactly I am going in the world of the Internet. I love my blog, love helping people, love writing new and interesting posts, articles, reports and ebooks. But I have to ask myself ‘What does this all add up to?’
A couple of years ago I enrolled on David Walker’s Blogging Boss course. Much of my style on this blog comes from interesting tips and facts I learned from David’s course.
More recently I bumped into David online again when I was asked to beta test his latest product Inbox Rockstar. I had long since realised that email marketing is an essential part of Internet Marketing but it is something I had never got quite right. David’s Inbox Rockstar gives 30 ‘fill in the blanks’ email templates every month, so the job is done for me!
From this came the opportunity to get involved in another course of David’s, this time focusing on Internet Marketing and how to make a regular income from your efforts. As my previous results have been limited I decided to sign up for the course and have just completed module 2.
So far so good, and I can honestly say it is a fresh look at a tired old subject. I personally will be completing the whole course (many people who sign up for things do not complete them at all!) and I will give you all my progress reports here so you can follow my new journey that will inspire renewed focus and a better direction.
If you would like to know more about David and what he offers you can visit him by clicking this link here. It really is worth a look, at the very least!

I have never heard of him Mandy! I guess that’s not unusual though right! There are so many unknown rockstars out there that we’ve never met I’m sure. That was really cool that you bumped into him again though and he wanted you to check out his course. I’ll be anxious to hear your thoughts on that because I honestly believe that email marketing will never die.
Hope the TV spot went well, can’t wait to hear all about it. Sure wish I could see it.

Hi Mandy
Well I read the other day that email marketing is STILL the most effective form of marketing and so learning this skill is definitely good advice.
You made me smile when you said a lot of people don’t finish courses and I have to say that I do have one or two of those in my back office somewhere too, but remaining focused on the marketing skill you are trying to learn is key, and of course then taking action is key too!

I do believe that it is an important tool to have in our back office and I didn’t really understand how to use it to its full potential until I ran into David’s course. At the end of the day marketing on the internet is about selling, simple as that.
Enjoy the journey.

Hi Mandy, good for you.
I’ve heard good things about Dave’s courses and seeing as how he’s a straight talking guy I should think his course will be exactly the same.
I agree that to many of us don’t finish courses we start, a bit like many ebooks we read. I wonder how many of us have used Butterfly Marketing since it was released at a fraction of its original price. Mine is still in the cellophane it came in 🙁
Best of luck Mandy, have agreat weekend.

There’s a great quote going around at the moment on FB about making things simple being the hardest thing to do, and any fool can make something complicated. I heard lots of stories about BM being very complicated. I wonder if it really does work if you can work it out?? I too have a stack of unused items!

Mandy, I joined in David’s course because of his knowledge in email marketing. I am also a member of inbox rockstar. Even though I have been full time for a couple of years it was only a few months ago that I started to realize that I needed to start growing that list a little bigger and start making it more responsive.
Feel like I am starting all over again. I have not commented on a blog for years. lol

Anyway, look forward to working with you Louis, as well as you Mandy!

Yes, I like David’s no nonsense style….it makes me do a double take at times and think did he really say that ? But ultimately that’s what you need to make you sit up and take notice. Are you happy with the inboxrockstar emails ? Do they require lots of work to make them your own or do you just send them out as is ?

September 12, 2012Hi Ade, thanks for visiting. The Inbox Rockstar templates are starters and you fill in the blanks. They can be sent out as is but you have to add some information in your niche to make them work well. If you sing up through the link you can get 5 free templates that will give you an idea before you purchase. They don’t take much work to complete, David has been very comprehensive in his suggestions in them.
