Every blog owner wants traffic to their blogs, and they want to keep their readers coming back again and again.
One of the ways you can do this is by listening to the needs of those people who visit your blog, and also listen to other people who might visit your blog if you offered what they want.
A good place to start is in your comments section. Read the comments left by your visitors and engage in a discussion with them, build a relationship with your readers so that they feel comfortable asking you for advice and help.
Read discussions in other places too. Forums are a good place to look for blog post ideas. Find something someone wants an answer to and reply in a detailed blog post.
My last post, Make Sure Your Video Is Centred, was made as a direct result of a conversation in a Facebook group I am part of. One of the members was having trouble with the automatic features in the kitchen sink and their video constantly showed on the left of the page. I was able to address the situation for her and prepare a very quick blog post and video to help out. I then went back to the group and pointed her to the post I’d just written. If you read the comments after that post you will see that it helped a great number of other readers who have had exactly this problem.
It pays to listen to what people have to say, that way you can write targeted blog posts and keep your readers flooding back!
