What do you do when it all goes wrong??

Today I had my first major issue with the internet learning.  My masterclass tutor, John Thornhill, has outlined everything very clearly and his method of videoing himself performing the tasks that he requires us to copy helps far more than reading instructions on a page.  However, he is not in the room and cannot help directly when there is a problem.  In this world of instant access it is frustrating to find something not working out well and then having to wait for a reply to an e.mail when you need help.  Last week I registered for Google Adsense.  Their internet site tells me that I will have a reply to the request within one week.  It is now 8 days since I registered and I have heard nothing.  Of course one problem with this is that I cannot get on with some of the tasks on the course without this facility being set up.  The classes come through each week and allow time for us to perform the week’s tasks before the next set of instructions arrive.  How frustrating it is to be unable to solve this simply.  I have e.mailed Google but have had no reply yet.  No doubt they are incredibly busy and I have had occassion to e.mail ebay in the past and had to wait 4 days for a reply.  I hope Google don’t take as long!

  1. I had the same issue with google adsense and it was exactly eight days, and it sure is frustrating when you’re excited about going places on the net. Just when I was about to re-apply, I got the thumbs-up. Of course I started to get worried that my blog wasn’t up to Google’s high standards LOL. Now from what I hear about how little the cpc(cents per click) might be, I’m curious about CB Ad Rotator – hopefully more on that later. Very interesting to read your bio. Good luck with the journey. I’ll just go and opt-in for your updates. ciao jj

  2. Hi Mandy

I see you got your problem fixed eventually then? I was late applying for Adsense and was expecting a 48 hour wait as John had warned. I was adding a post just after applying and when I published to post the adsense was already on the site. A wait of about 10 minutes. I then went and edited the code so it applied to me rather than be generic.

You won’t have the waiting problem again though will you. There’s a whole army of us you can contact now. I’ll bet most of us knows someone who can help even if we can’t directly ourselves.

    Good luck with the course.

Hi Tony, that’s the great part about being in a community, someone always knows someone who can!

    Enjoy the journey.
