Take Positive Action To Move Your Business Forward

In all that we do online it is imperative that we take positive action to move our businesses forward.  There are so many different ways we can do this.  To implement our positive action we should include these steps:

  • Make lists – there is proof that people who make lists are more successful in business than those who do not
  • Pledge to take positive action towards success each day – planning and setting goals is a big part of success and moving forwards
  • Network with like minded people – whether it is online or offline it is important to network for support,  ideas, and motivation

Each of these steps will help you to move your business forwards.  I have written about one of the most productive positive action steps I have taken to move my business forward in the posts ‘All For One And One For All – Be Accountable’ and ‘Take Action To Achieve Your Goals’.

I truly believe that the single most important step I have taken is to attend Randy Smith’s Northallerton Marketing Meetups on a regular basis.  Randy holds his meetups every month and in November he has kindly allowed me some time in the proceedings to run a workshop that I will be recording for my new product to be released early next year.  There are one or two places left at the meetup (Randy has to limit seats because of the size of the room) so if you would like to attend the meetup being held on Saturday November 12th you need to go over to the booking page and secure your place.

I have just two spaces left in my car travelling from North Norfolk on the day.  I will leave at 7.30am and be back by about 10.30pm.  If you would like to attend and need a lift to the event from anywhere in the area or en route just book your place and drop me an email.

Will you take positive action to move your business forward?

    Hi Mandy,

LOL – you make me feel guilty about getting up so early and back so late!!!

Seriously though – I’m glad that we are of some help in your business 🙂
Here’s hoping you continue the forward and upward growth 🙂

Hi Randy, thanks for visiting. Listen, I wouldn’t drive up if it wasn’t worth it, I really don’t mind about the early start. Thanks so much for letting me have some time for the workshop at the next meeting.

      Enjoy the journey.

    Hi Mandy

I guess you got your power back on then otherwise I wouldn’t be reading this (lol)

I’m a list geek and a checklist geek and I do think they help me to get things done…

Although Peter laughs at me and says not another list your gonna loose (lol)

What I always do is write a list the night before of everything I want to get done the next day…

And tackle the biggest thing on my list first, or the one that I’m scared to do the most…

    It works for me anyway!

I’ll be at Randys meet up in November and I’m really looking forward to your workshop.

    See you then

Hi Dawn, thanks for visiting. Yes, all returned to normal except I nearly had a cold bath the next morning as the timer on the water heater was totally wrong and I ran the bath before I even realised!

Glad to hear you use lists, they really are a great way to keep tabs on what you are doing, when and how much you achieve. And tackling the most difficult thing first is a great system!

See you on the 12th, hope you enjoy the workshop! Nice of you to offer Ian a lift.

      Enjoy the journey.

    Mandy,

I love making lists and checking everything off as I do it. I like seeing things get done.

I have a check list in front of me right now and am checking off everything as I do it.

I really believe that we are way more productive if we are using lists — at least I am.

I can see where meet ups would be great also. I would love to sit down and talk to other people doing the same thing. Am still looking for something in my area.

Hi Dee Ann, thanks for visiting. I find lists help enormously as I am famouse for forgetting important things (like forgetting it was my turn to run the church group, I swanned into my house casually, saw a friend sitting there and said ‘what on earth are you doing here?’ to which she replied ‘church – tonight – your turn to run the group – remember??’ Cripes, no, completely forgot, only got 10 minutes to get there and I haven’t anything prepared!) I am so disorganised, everything only just comes together at the last minute!

      Enjoy the journey.

        Mandy,

I love it. Am glad there is someone else that does those things. I am always double and triple booking my time. I can just see myself doing something like you described. That is why I use lists and a calendar all of the time.

Hi Dee Ann, thanks for visiting. I love lists and hopefully keep track of everything by using them. You seem to have me on your list twice though…not that I’m complaining at seeing you twice on the same post at all.

          Enjoy the journey.

    Hi Mandy,
I found you through Randy’s blog. I have to say I should make a list. I start off the day doing what I should, get distracted and start doing something else, and so on etc etc.

So, by the end of the day, I may have a couple of jobs done and finished, and a few more half done, ready to do the next day, when, of course, it all starts again.

I wish I could get to Northallerton, because all my family is there. Unfortunately at the moment funds don’t permit, but wait awhile, and I will be there.

Hi Barry, thanks for visiting. Yes, lists really so help to keep us on track. I wonder where you are from as people come to the meets from all over so you could share a lift no doubt. Cuts down costs.

      Enjoy the journey.

    Hi Mandy,

    Thanks for this post!

I’ve also started working with an accountability partner and find that is working VERY well in helping me move my business along.

How does it work? Simply you tell your partner at least 3 big things you will acheive in the coming week. You ring them at the end of the week and tell them if you’ve acheived it and if you haven’t why you haven’.

Then you say what you will do the next week…

Telling someone else what your going to do and then checking in with them is a great way to stay movitvated, share and gain ideas, and most importantly to GET HEAPS DONE!

Hi Nick, thanks for visiting. Accountability partners are a great to keep on track, also if you are in a good forum where people will encourage each other, like a mentoring group forum. They work really well too.

      Enjoy the journey.

Oh Mandy…if I could only jump into your car and attend…I surely would!

Unfortunately I have to swim across a very large body of water first! lol

At any rate, it’s interesting that you mentioned joining Randy’s meetup as one of the most positive things you have done…
joining Randy’s IMA was a very smart move on my part. 😉

Randy has had such a positive effect on so many people!
    Good luck with your project!
