S Is For Sagacious

Other words we could use in place of sagacious are: wise, sage, discerning, clever, intelligent, judicious, acute, sharp, keen, perspicacious.

Wisdom is not learned easily.

As Confucius said:

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

It takes time and experience to become wise; it also takes a recognition of the facts, seeing things as they are, rather than how you would like them to be.

Enjoy the journey!

Wisdom is an awesome vietue. It can be gifted from God as in the Christian faith it is a gift of the Holy Spirit. If you read the saints, you see they definitely had it.

I agree with all the three methods of Confucious. It is true that “Experience” method is bitterest but at the same time it is one of the best method . What we learn from experience stays in our mind forever.

As far as word “Sagacious” is concerened, I have never used it till date.

Hi Bharat, thanks for visiting. I too agree with these words. How lucky are we to have experiences to draw upon though, and how lucky are we to recognise the learning and development we have received from them.

      Enjoy the journey!

    Hi Mandy

You are so right. It takes a lot to be wise. I do agree with the words of Confucious. When it comes to Experience, even though it is not the most pleasant but just think about the benefits derived from such experience.

    Thanks for sharing. Take Cae
