Lost and found
I am amazed at how we can lose things that seem to be intrinsic to our very being but then find something far more precious, far more satisfying, and giving us a feeling of being far more complete. There is a saying that when one door closes another opens, and this is very true. The door that opens can bring great rewards. Loss is often a hard thing to cope with but if we did not lose things from time to time our lives would become so very full there would be no room for the new adventures we need to explore.
If we want to grow as people we need to embrace these losses, accepting the changes that come our way so we can make room for the new beginnings and new experiences that face us, and these may well bring us much greater happiness than we have ever known.
Enjoy the journey.
Hi Mandy,
Such a true statement, it`s natures balance ying and yang, to keep good inline with bad you simply can`t have one more than the other,i`ll let you in on my past, i suffered far too much pain over too long a period and it has left me with mental scars, but i move forward, i have never revealed that before in masterclass circles!
You could say like the song goes “tears of a clown”, so i know where you are coming from with this post..
Take care Mandy….Ed.
Ed, how brave of you to tell us that, thank you for sharing. I hope the pain is much less for you now you have been able to move forwards. You know where I am if you ned a chat anytime.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Mandy, I am very familiar with the “one door closing and another opening,” phenomenon and, in fact, I am experiencing that process in several ways in my life right now and I am enjoying the journey to the hilt.
Very nice post…keep up the good work…Pat
Hi Pat, hope the ‘opening doors’ bring you everything you have ever dreamed of. I bet it’s really exciting.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hey Mandy,
I guess it’s a case of don’t dwell on the loss and the negative deal with those then let them go and then take the positive and the lessons and let those be a part of who you will become.
Rob
Hi Rob, definitely agree with you there, negative thoughts just drag us down, don’t they.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Mandy,
The longer I live the more this rings true. When I was younger and got divorced it just about killed me. I never believed in divorce, but it happened and I had to cope with it. On the up side, I met Lynne a few years later and we’ve been married now for 22 years. Lynne and I are best friends and much more compatible than my first marrage.
So many changes with so many more doors to open and recieve more blessings. God is good and will get you through anything.
Luv Ya Gal,
Jay
Jay, lovely to see you here. And that’s a very apt story to tell, we have to allow those changes and let new things into our lives. I’m glad you and Lynne have found happiness, it’s essential to our well being.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Mandy
It seems we all have similar stories.
It took me lots of trial and error (so to speak) to find the person in my life that completes me! It’s cliche but very true.
Angie is my best friend as well as my girlfriend. Everything that went before is now just ‘details’ everything that is yet to come is …well I’m not sure of the word, but excitement, anticipation and I can’t wait.
I’m now trying to open lots of doors for us and slow down the ones that are closing.
I’m Always around if you fancy a chat
cheers
Steve

Hi Mandy
I guess it’s always difficult when you are losing something or someone to think of it as an opportunity for growth and new beginings. This realization really only comes later.
Nice to see you back on your blog.
Best wishes
Ann
Hi Ann, so nice to see you here and thanks for your kind words. My next blog post has to be about how difficult it is to write just a couple of hundred words to keep the blog fresh! When big life changes happen I believe your brain turns to complete mashed potato!
Enjoy the journey.

Hello Mandy,
After reading some of your blogs… I have a feeling that we are of like minds on many things. A life-long friend and spiritual teacher often tells me…”The hard stuff’s the good stuff”. For therein lies our greatest opportunities for healing and surrendering our need to judge our experiences and our lives.
Great Blog. Love the Purple too – it really stands apart from the rest.
Joelle
Thank you for visiting, Joelle. I’m glad you like the blog and hope you visit often. I’ll pop over to your blog and take a look.

Mandy
Hi Mandy, This post really strikes a chord with me and when I have loss of any sort in my life, I always try to remember a saying I once read, that goes like this ‘Every adversity has within it the seed of a greater benefit’. I have always found this to be of comfort to me, with one exception and that was the loss of my father which I took very badly. Any way I know he would have been proud of my achievements so far on this course so I guess that is comforting to think about. I am very much enjoying John’s course and I also with you every success for your future plans too. Your blog looks really neat and tidy and you have some very interesting posts there, keep up the good work and I will check to see what you are doing from time to time.
Kinest regards,
Sue
Hi Sue, thanks for dropping by. Very nice quote, I might use that in the future! Good luck with the MC course.

Hi Mandy,
When loss happens for me Mandy I still find it hard to look at the positive opportunities but I try.
Just reading this reminds me I need to keep going and the light will appear.
