How To Attract More Opt Ins

I imagine we’ve all wondered why people do not ‘opt in’ to your list when they visit your blog, especially if you write good quality posts.  Clearly choosing a great gift in return for the opt in is a very important detail.

As an Internet marketer, you should know that the key to your business success is the ability to build a list of customers and potential customers who look forward to hearing about your new product releases and special offers through e-mails announcements.  Building that list successfully will depend on your ability to build a bond of trust with prospects and customers.

A lead-generating product is the easiest, fastest, and most effective tool for creating this connection with your potential clients.  As you build this trust you will reach the point in the sales cycle where prospects are ready to buy your products or services.

Your free information product is often the most powerful tool in your sales cycle.  Readers will often brand you on the basis of what you present to them in your opt in offer.  Creating a unique opt in product is the easiest and fastest way to establish yourself as an expert, build your brand, and win the trust of your readers.

Information products that help and educate people, or solve their problems are the best way for you to build your opt-in list.  You can create a significant opt-in list by giving away a private label rights product.  Private Label Rights on any product like software, articles or ebooks gives you total rights to change it in any way you choose, and claim it for your own.  You can include links within the document to your own products or affiliate products, change or add new graphics, edit the existing content, or use it as it is (not recommended though), and ultimately put your name on the product as the owner.

A free offer of something valuable can turn visitors into customers.  When you follow up by continuing to add something of value you establish the kind of rapport and trust that turns readers into customers.  And when you cultivate customer relationships by keeping in touch, offering new solutions, and creating additional benefits, you turn customers into clients for life.

Hi Mandy, I followed you here from Barry’s blog where you were kind enough to help him out with a guest post. 🙂

A question for you regarding the optins, have you tried cycling the offer you hold up for your potential subscribers? I’ve had the same one and it’s performed great for me, but I’m wondering if I should switch it out for a while.

    Cheers.

Hi Warren, thanks for visiting. You’ve made a very good point there, Warren, rotating the free gift is a great idea, but if something is working well I might be inclined to stick with it until that changes.

      Enjoy the journey,

      Mandy

    Hi Mandy,

Just want to say keep up the good work you are doing. Your guest post on Barry Wells dot com is a good eye opener for anyone who wants to get good exposer. So nice of you to help Barry out while he’s getting better.

Concerning this post, the only way you are going to get people to optin to your mailing list is if you have a good quality free product. I like your idea about using a private label product.

The free product must be like a magnet that will draw interested people to optin to your list.

Educational marketing is so much better than traditional marketing. You are actually teaching someone something about what they are interested in. When people are opting in to your list, they are raising their hand letting you know they are interested.

Then it’s just so much easier to sell them a related product within your free product.

Beats marketing at random hands down,

    Terry Conti

Hi Terry, thanks for visiting. Nice to see you back at it!

I agree with your comment, good quality is the only way to go. You also need to follow your opt in gift up with a good email campaign to keep your subscribers interested. A good topic for another post, thank you for prompting that!

      Enjoy the journey.

Mandy thank for the great advice I am in the process of completing a ebook I am going to use as my free opt in gift. I have a question for you? Can I put my business products in after the free gift.

Hi Suzanne, thanks for visiting. I’m not clear where exactly you want to put the business products. Do you want them to be available (free or paid) after your visitor downloads the freebie? To do that you just need to direct them to another page. If you need help give me a shout.

      Enjoy the journey.
