Hello world!
What a wonderful thing the internet is. All the thousands of people who could potentially read what I write! It’s even better than writing a book as this is free! I will start my first proper post next time, but this is my opportunity to tell you all a little bit about me. I was born in 1962 on Alderney in the Channel Islands. I was one of the last babies to be born on the island as prospective mothers are now sent to either Jersey or Guernsey hospitals as the facilities are so much better there. Now I live in Norfolk, UK, and I love it. The place I love second best is Scotland. Aviemore and the Cairngorms is my favourite part of Scotland. I love to holiday there and hope one day to live in that part of the UK.
I currently own 2 antiques centres and an art gallery in Norfolk. I also work part time as a youth worker for the County Council. In my spare time I play an internet based game called Runescape. I love Norfolk for long beach walks, olde worlde pubs with log fires in the bar, great food, and a very relaxed lifestyle. I love my work and so it doesn’t feel like I spend so much time working, it’s like part of my social life.
It is so important to enjoy what you do. Strive to find something that fulfills you, and if what you are doing does not then keep looking.
Hi Mandy,
Thanks for the welcome in the MC forum. You are a busy lady aren’t you? I see you come from the Channel Islands, I have visted Guernsey and Sark in the 80′s on a sailing/diving trip, it’s a nice part of the world.
I see you like Aviemore and the Cairngorms, do you ski? It’s one thing I have never tried. My last trip to the Cairngorms was in February 1999 – climbing Ben Machduie in a near whiteout.
You seem to have a good lifestyle and to enjoy yourself. I am going to make a bit more progress through your blog.
Regards,
Bill
Hi Bill, thanks for visiting. Yes, I do ski, love it! Hope to see you here often!
Enjoy the journey.
